WINEMAKER’S NOTES
We set out this year to make a serious and flavoursome Rose style that would have a striking colour and accompanying freshness and vibrancy of flavour. Drawing some high quality Malbec grapes from our Margaret River vineyards we gently processed the fruit to ensure maximum flavour and aroma retention.
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Pale salmon pink with a subtle violet hue.
Aroma: Primary aromas of fresh, lifted and attractive spicy fruits, with hints of blueberry.
Palate: Strikingly fresh and vibrant with flavoursome fruit driven palate with a touch of spice. Clean and crisp acidity with a long and persistent finish.
Food matching: BBQ chorizo sausage with a squeeze of fresh lemon from your tree. Get a good friend to reach for the lemon so you don't have to get up from the sunlounge.
Cellaring: Enjoy now
Alcohol: 12.9 % vol Standard drinks: approx 7.6

The Age - Epicure - Uncorked 29 September 2009 Spring and Summer are ideal times to consider sipping pink wine and this well-priced example from Margaret River is just the thing next time you're playing a game of kiss chasey. It has a blushing rose-pink colour and a grapey aroma with a light, herby edge. Its red cherry-like fruit is succulent and it tastes dry and clean.
