WINEMAKER'S NOTES
This wine is made from the classical blend of Cabernet and Merlot grapes from the Margaret River region and is an excellent example of the style – a wine that has style and structure from Cabernet and rich dark chocolate flavours and tannins from ripe Merlot. It is a classical regional style.
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Deep purple red with a dark cherry core.
Aroma: Ripe plum and mocha fruits layered over fine vanillin oak.
Palate: Ripe and generous flavours of rich plum and spice lead to a generous mouth filling middle palate with fine grained tannins to finish.
Food matching: Aged cheddars, stronger cuts of meat, game.
Cellaring: Enjoy now or cellar for 3 to 5 years for a full expression of the wine.
Alcohol: 14.5% Standard drinks: approx 8.6

Winestate Magazine New Releases March 2008 4.5 Stars & Top in Category. Huge and youthful wine with plenty of oak influence. Lovely blackberry fruit with nice tarry complexity; excellent length and drying tannins.
