TECHNICAL NOTES
Region: Margaret River
Vintage notes: The 2011 vintage was characterised by a very dry winter and spring conditions combined with warmer than average temperatures during the ripening season. This has led to the earliest vintage on record, even surpassing 2007. Whites are very good, racy and flavoursome with fewer vineyards tending to overblown fruit as there were with some 2010 experiences. Reds are highly coloured, juicy and really deliver. It could be a classic vintage, however, it is absolutely outside anybodies experience, yet the signs are indeed promising.
Composition: Viognier 100%
Winemaking: Very ripe Verdelho was can cut on the vine, leaving the fruit left to dehydrate further. The grapes were harvested, pressed and the clarified juice underwent fermentation that stopped naturally. The wine was clarified and bottled.
pH: 3.61
Acidity: 8.23 g/l
Residual sugar: 10.0 Baume
Closure: Screw Cap
