Wine on tap has a long-standing history in Europe and is finding more support around the world. The wine is pressurised in a specially designed small keg preventing oxygen from touching the wine, eliminating waste and keeping quality consistent.
Environmentally, it is a no brainer. The bottling process is extremely resource intensive and includes bottles, corks, foils, labels, boxes and pallets. Kegs eliminate tons of packaging, are reusable for years, and reduce transportation emissions significantly.
Of course the bottle still has a place in our hearts and our wine cellars as we can all appreciate a wine that benefits from ageing - which is why we still keep much of our product in bottle.
Most wines are ready to drink and these can be tapped without compromise. The quality of our fresh 'drink now' wines is superb off tap... served in bottle, half bottle size carafes or by the glass.
